OSCAR
Fill out our Adoption Application

Age: 7 yrs.

Likes: Sleeping with you, sitting with you, dinner time, play time.  He has shown no food aggression and eats in a room with other dogs.  He gets really excited and "Woo Woo's" at you until you set down his bowl.

Dislikes He gets a little anxious when you leave an carries on for 15 minutes or more.  He basically howls and barks.  He does settle down and stays calm the rest of the time.

Medications Oscar was very thin.  He has been fed double helpings 2 times a day and has put on some weight.  He needs another pound to hit a perfect weight.  He does have a soft trachea.  It causes no problems unless pressure is put on his throat.  He will need to be kept in a harness and he will need to be kept on the lean side.  He is scheduled for a dentistry the first week of March and then he will be perfect for his forever home

Other specificationsYou can't go wrong with Oscar.  He's sweet, gives kisses and has a very mellow diposition.  He is working on his housebreaking and is using a doggy door almost all of the time.  He's fine with cats and superb with children.  Wouldn't you like to give him the forever home he deserves?

Why turned in to rescueOscar came into Rescue after showing dominance behavior towards an older male dog in his house. He was placed in a multiple dog foster home that has all ages, sizes and sexes of dogs.  Oscar has been a true gentleman in the entire time he's been in foster.  He did get into one minor skirmish when another dog nipped at him, but stopped as soon as his name was called.  He has even been to Doggy Daycare and spent the day in a very diverse group of dogs.  The counselors had nothing but positive things to say about Oscar at the end of the day.

Oscar's adoption fee is $200.

ADOPTION PROCESS

Would you like to fill out our adoption application? Please go to our adoption page and fill out the application!

APARN has taken in 60 pugs so far this year (from January
1st to May 6th).    Won't you please consider making a  monetary donation to help us give these pugs the care they need?

We may have more dogs than are shown on this page, and dogs are coming in regularly so please submit an application and get on our list! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered. Our adoption process begins with submitting an application. We will try to respond to your application in a timely matter, but please remember that we are all volunteers, and often get backed up.
