Need to call us or surrender a pug, call (480) 964-3126

Welcome to the Arizona Pug Adoption and Rescue Network

Looking to adopt a pug? Need to surrender your pug? We can help. APARN is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of the pug breed.

APARN‘s Mission is to rescue abused, abandoned, homeless, unwanted, sick or injured Pugs, rehabilitate them and place them into loving, permanent adoptive homes in Arizona. We strive to educate the public about the Pug dog breed, including its personality, special needs and care. We provide medical care and spay or neuter operations for all of the Pugs that come into our rescue.

We need your help!

APARN has taken in over 250 pugs in 2011!

Each has needed care ranging from routine vaccination updates and spay/neuter surgeries to eye enucleations, major dental procedures and even a few life saving procedures such as removing bladder stone blockages. APARN exists solely on donations and we are in need of assistance to continue to take in pugs and give them the care they need.

Please consider making a donation today! No amount is too small, however, everyone who donates $50 or more by the end of February will be entered into a drawing for a $25 VISA gift card. Ways to donate include mailing a check; PayPal payment sent to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address); or via Firstgiving at www.firstgiving.com/helplester. Thank you!

Help Lester and his brothers!

Help Lester and his brothers!

Meet Lester. He and his five brothers are just 11 weeks old, and are fighting for their lives! Surrendered to APARN on Friday 11/5, Lester tested positive for parvo, and was immediately hospitalized and put on supportive IV fluid therapy. When the previous owners were advised of the positive test for parvo, his five brothers were also surrendered, and each tested negative for parvo on Friday. On Saturday, one of the brothers' condition worsened and he was re-tested; this time it was positive. His name is Jermaine and he is now at the vet with Lester, on supportive IV fluid therapy.

Won't you please help us raise the funds needed for their care? Hospitalization and treatment is about $1500 per pug to see them through the worst part of the viral infection. After care, vaccinations and neuter are about $500 per pug.
