Read my story...

Hello there, my name is Adie and I am a sweet 3 year old pug. I had to come to APARN because of things happening in my previous home, and they felt it was best I came here.

I am actually enjoying life, and ready for my new family, but I guess I need to tell you some things about me. Where should I start…well, I am crate trained (that seems important to a lot of future homes).

I have a history of ear infections, and right now am undergoing treatment for some pretty bad infections. I guess I’ve been eating the wrong food, and the doctor said after I have my surgery, I need to switch over to higher quality food that is Duck and Potato or Fish and Potato, and my new home needs to keep me on that so I can quit having bad ears. I also need to have a family who will promise to clean my ears every day. It’s kind of like brushing your teeth, if you keep them clean and brushed on a daily basis, then you don’t have cavities, the same goes for cleaning ears - do it daily and it is easier to keep them in good shape. Plus the limited ingredient food helps. See, when pugs are allergic to things, a lot of the time the allergy shows up as ear infections! Who knew? (The nice vet did, that’s for sure!)

I am a little shy at first of new people and children, but once I feel safe I am just fine. I have been with other pugs my whole life, so I would fit into any home, with or without pugs.

OK gotta run, time for my ear cleaning, so fill out that application and come meet me soon!
