Hello, I’m Angela!
I am 2 years old, but I am small, so I kind of look like a puppy. I came to APARN only a few days ago and I am still getting used to all of the changes. I saw the vet and he said that I am “super healthy”. I was very glad to hear that. By the time you read this, I will have gone to get spayed. After my recovery (just a day or two!) I will be ready for my forever home. I am very exited about that! My foster mom thinks that I will not stay in rescue for long. She thinks I am cute as a button.
My favorite past time is to eat. I also like to scan the house for food items and treats. If I am not doing that I am begging for more food. I could eat all day and all night long. My foster dad is a StarWars geek and he gave me the nick name “The almighty Sarlaac”. I LOVE food- but I do not love to share. I will get quite cranky if one of my foster brothers or sisters tries to share my food or gets close to it. I do best when fed by myself.
My second favorite past time is to nap in places that make me feel save and comfortable. I like to climb into one of the crates or lay under furniture. My foster mom says I am quite easy that way.
I am still getting to know the other dogs and I am trying to let them know that there is a new boss in the house. Me! I do not like to be challenged. I am dead set on this. I am the boss and I rule them. My foster mom thinks that I would be a great “only child”. But I might do well in a home with one older submissive male. I also do not enjoy it when other dogs bark at me. Even if they just want to play. I do not understand this behavior (yet) and get snappy with them.
I do love my foster mom and when I am not napping or scavenging for food I will follow her around the house. I love to sit under her chair. Sometimes I will jump up and sneak some kisses. That is great fun!!! I also like to give hugs. I will actually wrap my front paws around your neck if you hold me tight or carry me around.
I LOVE water. I will jump right into the kiddy pool or dog dish. I love to dig in the water and splash myself and others with it. It is so much fun! You should try it one day! Because of this my face and front legs are wet- a lot. Because of that the vet told foster dad to make sure that he cleans my face wrinkles every day to prevent infections. I guess wet wrinkles are a breeding ground for face ick!
Talking about wrinkles. Sometimes I do scratch at my eyes. The vet checked them and he thinks that my nose wrinkle is so fat and cute that it sometimes rubs on my eyeballs.
My foster parents have three little human girls. I like them very much. Especially the spunky 7 year old. She is a lot of fun to play with!
I know how to use the dog door! I do great going potty outside.
All in all I am a sweet little Pug girl and I would love to find a fun forever home soon. I cannot wait to meet you! Love- Angela
p.s.: Please bring some treats for me, ok ;) ?
