Hello, my name is April, I’m 7 years old, and I am looking for a special home.

I have had a bit of a hard time in my previous life with heartworms but I’m all clear now and ready to go! I have a torn right ear from something that attacked me but it doesn’t hurt.

I’m a little skittish in new situations and need a patient person that will give me LOTS of attention. I get along with other small, well-behaved dogs, and I don’t hesitate asking for my share of your petting. I have a charming under bite so if your teeth aren’t perfect either, we can be a matching pair!

I walk well on a leash and love my morning jaunts, sleep in the crate at night as long as I can see you, but in a doggy bed during the day. I’m house trained and my foster roommates have trained me to a doggy door.  We don’t know about cats yet.

I love getting brushed every day and stand very nicely while you clean my nose wrinkle after I eat in the morning. I’m in great shape at only 17 lbs. Aren’t I just perfect for you?
