Hi my name is Atticus and I am 8 months old. My name comes from the book To Kill a Mockingbird.
My mom told me I need to tell all of you a little about myself. Well as you can see I am a black pug, a very cute little black pug if I do say so myself.
My foster mom picked me up and I went straight away to the vet, as you can see in my one picture I was having some problems with my one eye. The vet was able to pop it back into place and they feel right now I will be able to keep it with very little problems. They sewed my eye shut, and it will stay that way for 2 weeks. Once the stitches come out, we will then know if I will be able to keep my eye, or if they have removed it.
I also had some bald spots on my body, well my foster mom thinks she is such an expert now, because she just knew it was demodex mange, and of course it was. I guess she is pretty smart for a human. I am on medication to help me get over that as well.
I am a little protective of my food, but my foster parents are trying to get me to understand that the other pugs in my family are not going to take it away from me. I am also a little jealous when you pay another animal attention.
I also think that when you go in the kitchen I am going to be fed, well am I learning really quick that is not possible, if it were I would be as big as a house, and we all know that pugs are not suppose to be FAT!
I really don’t like other dogs sniffing my private areas; if they do I will let them know with a growl and a bark that I do not want them to do that to me. As long as they are doing that, I get along great with everyone.
I am working on not going potty in the house, but after all I am a puppy and I might have been living outside and didn’t know that wasn’t OK until I came to my foster home.
I won’t be able to go home right away with anyone, but I know that APARN would be willing to go ahead and sign the contract and get the adoption fee so that I can be yours. Oh yeah, you have to fill out an application, get approved, and then they do a home check before you can even think about meeting me or adopting me, so hurry up and get everything done!
