Hi, my name is Bernie! My foster mom calls me Bernie Hernie, what a weirdo she is!

I am about 5 years old, I was a stray that came tp APARN from the Humane Society. I have a cute little stub for a tail; I am not sure what happened to the rest of it, but you know when I am happy because my whole rear end swings back and forth! It is so cute, you might mistake it for dancing!

So, if you have a minute, let me tell you a little about myself. I have a bit of a thyroid problem, but it’s not a big deal. I just take my thyroid medicine and I take it like a big boy! It just makes me really thirsty, so I drink a little more water.
I also have a history of bladder crystals, so I have to be on a special food, which again is no big deal, as I am not a picky eater.

I love everyone, and love to be right with my people! I will keep staring at you with my big brown eyes until you pay me attention with a little petting. I really like children, but prefer they be a little older, so I don’t knock them down with my enthusiasm!

I have this foster pug brother named Winslow, who is blind, and we get along great. We play and have the best time. In fact he likes to groom me and I just love it, sometimes when he stops I have to hit him with my paw to keep on grooming me. If you are looking for two awesome boys who already know each other, I hope you will consider adopting us both. We don’t have to be adopted together, as we didn’t know each other before foster care, but just wanted to let you know we are friends in case you are thinking about adopting two pugs!

8/27/09:  Bernie had a skin scrape and happy to report his Demodex Mange is gone! He also just had a dental done and had 6 bad teeth removed and is feeling so much better!
