Hello all! My name is BESSIE but I feel in a “Regal” mood today, so think of me as someone like Queen Bess.

I am a tall, stately girl about 24 lbs (not an inch of fat, mind you,) 4 years old, and with a beautiful fawn coat and black mask. I have this lovely, big brown eye. Yes, I know, you’ve noticed that I have only one, but that one eye is “the better to see you with, my dear.” There was trauma to the missing one when I was picked up as a stray. Thank goodness, the vet was able to fix the problem and that reproductive thing at the same time. So…no more pups for me!

I’m very lovable and get along with the other 3 pugs that live in the house where I’m staying, both girls and one boy. We don’t know about me with kids or cats, but I’m sure with your supervision, I would do fine. I haven’t mastered the doggy door yet, but have been pretty good at the housetraining thing. I sleep quietly in a crate at night as long as you are close by.

I was skittish at first, but it didn’t take long for me to learn I was in a safe place and no longer on the streets. So, by the time I get to your house, it will be a “piece of cake” adapting to your routine. I really like taking the early morning walks and watching the sun rise and wildlife scurry around, and I hope you will continue that activity for me. I so deserve it….I feel like royalty, you know.

Fill out and send in your application for me today. You can kiss my paw when I get to your house.

Love,
BESSIE
