Hi, who are you?  I’m Carston! 

Sounds like a race car driver’s name, doesn’t it? Foster mom says I am as active as a race car, but it’s just because I am basically still a puppy! I am only just barely a year old, so I still have lots of puppy energy and exuberance!

There are other pugs in my foster home, both boys and girls, young and old, and I get along with everyone…but look at this face, how could anyone not want to be friends with me!?! In fact, If I had my own Facebook page (like my foster sister does!) I bet I would have the most friends ever!

Foster mom says I could stand to gain about half a pound. Now that doesn’t sound like much to a person, but when you only weigh 16 pounds to start with, that is about 5% of my total body weight! Pugs aren’t supposed to be fat you know, but since I am just a year old, I haven’t totally filled out yet. Having said that, I should never weigh more than 17 pounds tops. Mom says the pugs you see on tv and in the movies are way too fat, and all that extra weight is bad for pugs. It causes stress on our joints and makes it harder to breathe, and we don’t want any part of that!

In addition to being playful, I am also very loving! I like to sit on your lap and snuggle. I am very athletic too, so if you don’t watch out, I will just leap up onto your lap with no warning! Foster mom says I need to learn better manners than that, but she also says I am “so stinkin’ cute” so I think I just might have the face to get away with anything!
