Hi my name is Carter, and I am about a year old.
Do any of you see some kind of pattern here? There is a Nixon, Truman and now me Carter! Hmmmm maybe it’s just me, but there are a lot of President names being used here.
Let’s see, I was asked to tell you all something about me, and of course there are so many things, but I don’t want you to think that I have a big head.
I was a stray that was found over Memorial Day weekend. My foster mom can’t figure out why someone would not have come looking for me, but that’s OK I am in a very safe place now that APARN took me in. I am healthy, just got that thingies called a neuter done, but I heard the doctors talking about it and me. Seems that I had one undecended testicle so my surgery took a little longer and it will take a little longer to heal.
Did you know that male dogs not neutered can get prostate cancer and if they have one or two undecended testicles they are more likely to get prostate cancer? Wow when I heard that I was really happy APARN took me in for my surgery.
I get along with the other fosters in my house, but foster mom says I am very animated when I get excited. I am on the thin side, but only because I am a very picky eater, not like your average pug. I do like human food better than dog food, but my foster mom says I have to eat the dog food to get all of my nutrients and its just plain better for me. When I get tired I want you to hold me so I can rest my head on your chest and close my eyes, it makes me feel really safe that way.
I don’t want to give away to much information, as I would love for you to come and meet me at my foster home or one of our events.
Please fill out the adoption application that is the first step to meeting me. Hope to see you all very soon!
