“Lights! Camera! Action!” Hello there! I am Cecil - as in Cecil B. DeMille, the most famous pug director of all time. I am a very active and, my foster Mom would say, a bit bossy, 5 year old pug. I am also one of the best looking pugs you’ve ever seen - had I not been a pug director, I could have been a movie star, I am that good looking. My foster parents just fawn all over me because of it - it’s almost embarrassing!
I am truly an “alpha dog” and lead my foster brother and sisters in lots of fun and games. Sometimes we get into trouble but I am so smart I blame them - and most of the time get away with it. I like to play a lot, and run around the pool outside barking all the while. See, I think I’m directing my next big masterpiece; my foster parents think I’m just being a silly dog! Can you imagine? Well, I won’t be thanking them at the next Academy Awards! I also think everything on television is real - well, don’t you? Reality TV? I watch it so intently that I sometimes get caught up in the story and actually try to jump into the screen. I call it research - my foster Mom calls it annoying. I am really a special pug! A lot of fun - that’s for sure! My foster Mom says I am a laugh a minute.
When I am done “working,” however, I turn into a real lover. I lay right on top of my foster Mom and lick her face until she is nice and clean (and calm), and then I fall to sleep in her arms. I stay there all night. Foster Mom describes me as a “velcro” pug because I stick to her and my Foster Dad like glue. And personality! Well, one does not become a famous director by being a wall flower! My foster parents say I have a really sweet disposition, and I get along well with my foster pug brother and sisters. I will engage in a game of “chase the kitty” now and then, but just for fun. I doubt I would really ever hurt those furry little creatures - after all, I might need to cast them in an upcoming production! But just in case, probably a home with fewer cats would be best.
I would love to find a forever family that is very active, maybe that has an older child or two to play with. (I also occasionally have a need for small humans in my movies.) I have lots of love to give and joy to bring to the right forever family. If you think you might be that family, bring your movie camera and come to the next APARN adoption event, or fill out an adoption application. I’ll be the good looking pug directing all the other ones!
