Hi! My name is Chloe and I’m a sweet little 13 week old puppy.
I came to APARN at 8 weeks because I was born with eye issues and my family couldn’t keep up with my drops. I’ve been on a couple trips to the eye doctor and they determined I have dry eye and keratitis.  They don’t know the full extent yet though, as Iím on drops and my eyes are developing as I grow. I don’t close my eyes fully when I sleep or blink as often as I should, so my tear production isn’t as great as it should be. A recent trip to the vet determined that my current eye care regimen is working and I’m finally reaching normal tear production levels. I’m currently on 3 different eye drops and need them 2x/day, so it’s a little work taking care of me, but I’m worth it and I’ll pay you back in kisses! The eye doctor recommended cosmetic surgery for me in the new year which will close my eyelids enough to keep tears in my eyes, but still keep me looking gorgeous. My surgery will cost around $2,500 and my ongoing drops cost APARN about $100/month. They must really love me to provide this kind of care for a teeny little pug! My foster mommy thinks I can see pretty well right now because I come right to her when called and don’t run into anything. I’m going to live a long and healthy life thanks to APARN!

I’m currently 7lbs. and just as cute as can be! My foster mommy says I have the greatest personality and Iím a little character. Iím currently fostering with several other pugs, including Joey (who also has eye issues) so we all get along really well. I keep things fun around my foster home and get the gang playing with me all the time. My favorite thing to do is take my toys and play “keep away” from the other pugs that can’t catch up with me. It’s really fun! I also like to charge around the yard and give tons of kisses to my people. I’m a really loving little puppy with lots of energy, but Iím also very well-behaved and know when it’s time to settle down too. Iím a good little eater, take my eye drops like a champ, and am well on my way to being fully potty trained very soon.

If you would like to donate towards my ongoing eye care or upcoming surgery, I would really appreciate it! I am currently adoptable, so please let APARN know youíre interested in me by filling out the adoption application on the website.
