Hello There! I am Chubbs, a 5 year old male dog who is capable of amazing feats. More about that later.
I am part of a “bonded pair” along with my “brother” Tyson. You can read all about Tyson on his web page. Being part of a “bonded pair” means that Tyson and I are a package deal - if you want one of us, you really mean you want both - even though you may not realize it at the moment. But once you meet us and get to know us, you’ll understand why. And you’ll fall in love with us both, too, you’ll see! We have been together practically since birth and, well, we need each other. We love one another, play with each other, sleep wrapped up in each other’s arms most nights, and find it very difficult to be separated from each other - even for a little while. We got each other through the tough times. So, we just have to stay together. But it’s a good thing! Because we both are highly rambunctious, as our foster Mom likes to say. We play rough and tumble like most teenage boys. And so this way, we play with each other and don’t bother the other animals in the house. We both get along well with our foster brothers and sisters (all pugs), although they have taught us a nifty little game called “chase the kitty.” But we never catch the kitties and certainly would never hurt them - we just think it’s fun to give them a run for their money.
Speaking of which, our nicknames are Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, although foster Mom calls us Bonnie and Clyde because we are little thieves. We…uh…well…take off with things. Socks. Toys. Shoes. Almost anything. We don’t chew them or damage them - we just hide them and watch foster Mom hunt for them. What fun that is! And she usually blames someone else. We don’t think she has even caught on yet that it’s us who is hiding all the stuff - ain’t that just too funny? And we try to do it in the morning before she gets up, because she stays in bed way too long to suit our needs. We want her up and playing with us! So we are trying to come up with new and innovative ways to get her…um….butt out of bed before the day is half gone. I am working on a new, top secret plan that right now only Tyson knows about. But I’ll give you a hint: it has to do with wet towels that our foster Dad leaves on the floor in the morning after he showers. I’ll keep you posted as my top secret plan progresses.
Our perfect forever family would have an older child or two, or at the very least some adult who want to play - a lot. We love, love, love to play! We are typical pugs because we give lots of kisses, like to snuggle up next to you at night (we sleep in bed with our foster parents but would be equally at home sleeping in a doggie bed next to yours as long as my brother was with me), and are “lap dogs.” A home with a big yard in which to run and play would also be fun.
If you think you have room in your home, and your heart, for two very special pugs, complete an adoption application for me and Tyson and come visit us at an upcoming APARN adoption event. We will be the two pugs playing with each other, probably causing a bit of a raucous!
Hope to see you soon!
