Hi my name is Destiny and I am about a year old. A very nice lady from APARN was out walking one night and with it being so dark and me being black, she was not sure I was a pug. When she saw that I was and then realized that I was infested with ticks she took me home.

I will never forget that night, and I am sure she won’t either. I was so dirty and with all the ticks, yuk, on me she still knew I was a pretty girl. The APARN lady and some others started picking ticks off of me, they kept saying they had never seen so many on one dog before. My face was a solid mass of ticks and my ears were all filled as well. I was a good girl and let them pick them all off of me.

Once I was cleaned up and pretty tick free, I went to the vet for an exam and blood work. Well weren’t they all surprised to find out I was pregnant and too far along to terminate my pregnancy without risking my own life. Good thing I am a cutie. I almost forgot, with all those ticks on me, I tested negative for tick fever thank goodness.

The nice vet kept me until I had my babies and then I went back to my foster home with my 4 little boys, two fawn and two black. The babies are now almost weened, and in a couple of weeks we all can go to our forever homes.

I get along great with everyone, and I’m feeling OK for the most part, but I seem to have some allergies and the vet is trying to find the right meds for me.
