My name is Doxsey. Doxsey, Doxsey, Doxsey…it’s kind of a fun word to say, isnt’ it? And I am a fun pug!

I love playing, whether it is playing tug with a toy with you, or romping around the backyard with other dogs. I am also a very well behaved pug. I don’t run all over the furniture, I like to lay on the dog bed, but will also let you pick me up and put me in your lap if you want…it’s up to you, as I am happy either way. Happy…that’s it, I am a happy pug!

When I came to APARN, I had surgery to remove a bunch of bladder stones, and I am so grateful they did that for me!  Because of something called “urine PH levels” I have to stay on prescription dog food, to try to prevent more stones from forming.  That’s okay, because I like the food…okay, truth be told, I like ALL food!  And foster mom just found out I love baby carrots! I have lost a few pounds since I’ve been at my foster home, and have firmed up a bit, thanks to all the running around the backyard with the other dogs. I still have a few to go, so my new family has to promise to keep me on my diet and exercise program.

I know some tricks like Sit and Shake, and I scratch on the door if I want to go outside. And I LOVE going on a walk! Pick up my leash and I do a little happy dance!

I know I am not as pretty as some of the other pugs in rescue, but I make up for it in personality! Please fill out the adoption application and come meet me; I know we could have lots of fun times together!
