Read my story...

One-eyed very handsome pug looking for a wonderful, loving family to love forever. I am about 7 years old and weigh in at about 21 pounds.

My life hasn’t been an easy one. I don’t remember much before the nice people at APARN rescued me, but here goes…I was a stray found wandering the streets. A lady called APARN and told them about me. My foster parents noticed right away that I was not able to pee. They took me to the vet right away to find out why. To make a very long story short, I had to have surgery. I had stones in my bladder and there was a blockage in my penis that wouldn’t let the pee through. The vet was unable to fix that problem so he had to make me a new opening to allow my urine to pass through. I now pee just the same as before, but now the pee comes out of an opening just in front of my scrotum.

While I was having surgery for that the vet also did my neuter. I was in surgery for over 3 hours. Boy was I sore for a couple of weeks! I had a little set back, but I am finally fully recovered and feel really good now. I have to eat a special dog food now so I don’t get any more stones. Believe me; I don’t want to go through that again! I also have a bit of a limp. (I know call me “Lucky”) The vet thinks it is probably arthritis so I am on a special medicine for that too.

I like playing with my squeaky toys and I love chewing on bones!! In fact, I really am not good at sharing my toys and especially the bones. Right now I have collected all the bones, 4 total, that foster mommy gave each of us puggies today and they are all in my bed….sh-h-h….don’t tell the other pugs. I also like playing in my bed and shaking it around. It’s great fun! You really should try it sometime.

I am a really very good boy. I have never had an accident in the house even when I was not feeling good. I love being with my foster parents, but what I really, really want is a forever family to call home. If you think you are my special family, please fill out an adoption application today.
