Lil’ Pete

We picked Lil’ Pete in January of 2004, when he was eight years old.
It was clear from the beginning that he was full of life. We subsequently determined that he had been abused, which would explain his early extreme squirminess when touched. He was surrendered because he lifted his leg on everything. This didn’t change when we got him, but we were introduced to belly bands.
Lil’ Pete was a champion sleeper. He could sleep anywhere, anytime, in any position, as evidenced by this picture. He gave us a lot of companionship, enjoyment, and laughs over the years that we had him, and we did our best to make him feel loved and accepted and wanted.
