Hi!  My name is Moto.

January 18, 2009 is my Birthday. I am a small boy weighing in at about 16 1/2 pounds. I have been blind since birth. I also have what is most likely doggy cerebral palsy so I walk a little funny.

My foster mommy says I walk like a drunken sailor sometimes. My left back side is not as strong as my right side. When I hurry & try to run, I look like I am prancing. My foster mommy thinks I have cerebral palsy because when I was born there was sometime during my birth I didn’t have oxygen to my brain. So I have some problems with my coordination, but it doesn’t slow me down. The Dr. says I am blind because the pigment of my eyes covers my cornea. It is hard to see through color! My foster mommy is going to take me to a special doctor to have my eyes checked. They might be able to give me some eye medicine to help me see a little bit. I am also having some more tests to make sure everything is working ok. I might have to go to a neurologist to have tests done on my brain. I will let you know what all of the Doctors say when all of my tests are done.

I still need to have that neuter thing done too, but I have to wait until all of my other tests are done. My foster parents say I am the sweetest pug they have ever had. They are so impressed with my potty training. I don’t have very many accidents in the house. I am learning to go potty outside. They say I am doing better than any other pug they have ever had.

I have even learned how to use the doggy door. I do have a couple of questionable habits though. I like to chew on shoes & magazines, but hey, I am still a puppy!

My foster parents give me lots of toys to play with and put their shoes & magazines out of my reach. Sometimes though they let me have a sales catalog to “read”. I may have some special problems, but I am still a wonderful, sweet pug and will be a great addition to the right family. If you can’t adopt me, maybe you could help APARN pay for some of my medical bills. All of my special testing, especially if I have to go to a brain Doctor, costs lots of money. APARN gave me a wonderful foster family and all of the medical care I need without expecting anything in return. Maybe you could help them like they have helped me.

Love, Moto
