Hi, I am Paula, and the vet says I am about 8 years old.

APARN rescued me out of the county shelter. I am so happy to be out of there and in a foster home. And boy did I hit the jackpot on foster homes! I have a fabulous crate all to myself, with a big comfy blue velvet pillow in it, and foster lets me stay in it with the door open so I can come and go. I feel so special, having such a wonderful space all to myself!

I am a little pug, 15 pounds when they weighed me at the vet’s office, and I overheard them saying I could stand to lose a pound or two. So foster mom has me on some really good quality food, and that should help me lose weight and make my coat nice and shiny. While I was at the vet, I got all my vaccinations updated, and got checked to make sure I didn’t have heartworms or tick fever. The doctor said my heart and lungs sound good, and I just have a little arthritis in my joints, just an amount appropriate for my age, but extra weight will make it worse, so it is importnat that my new people be dedicated to keeping the weight off me.

I am fostering with another pug and a bigger dog, but I like the pug best. She and I are buddies, so I am hoping that my forever home will have another pug for me to be friends with.
