Hi, my name is Pepper but I also respond to “Chini” which is short for Pepperoncini and to “Pepperoni Sausage!” The doctor said that I am around nine years old. I was found by an APARN volunteer and am now safe in a wonderful foster home. But my dream is to be with a new forever family.
I’m spayed and had my teeth cleaned when I came to APARN. I have luxating patellas in both of my rear knees but it doesn’t slow me down because my foster family gives me medicine for it as needed. (Don’t worry. It’s not expensive medicine and I don’t take it every day - only when I’m a little stiff.)
I’m FULLY HOUSE TRAINED and use the doggy door to let myself out to go potty. My foster family are so proud of me and want me to teach their pugs how to be as good as me!
I’m very affectionate and loving.. My favorite activity is snuggling and cuddling with my foster family, especially my dad; and I sure do enjoy long afternoon naps! I get along well with all of the pugs in our house. I am a little bit on the motherly side because when my brothers are playing and rough housing I feel that it is my job to break them up and keep them in line to make sure that no one gets hurt.
The doctor would like for me to lose four more pounds (hence the nickname “Pepperoni Sausage”) so that I can get down to a healthy weight. (The pictures make me look like I have a lot of white hair but that’s because the pictures were taken outside in the sun. I’m much more youthful looking than the pictures make me out to be.)
I have lots of love in my heart and am ready to share it all with my forever family!
