Pickles

I've been Adopted!
Adopted: August 2011Click on pug picture for larger image

Hi there! My name is Pickles, and I am soooo sweet you are just going to have to meet me to believe it! I am currently fostering with some other APARN pugs and some very well behaved children. I absolutely LOVE to lay on the couch next to my foster dad. We take lots of naps and as a pug, you know I think the only thing better than nap time is dinner time!
I am a compact pug, about 17 pounds or so. Contrary to the pugs you see on some tv commercials, pugs are NOT supposed to be fat! So my new family needs to make sure to keep me on good quality dog food in proper portions.
When I came into rescue I had a small cyst removed from my back end. It turned out to be something called a Grade 1 Mast Cell Tumor, but the awesome vet who treated me got what they call clean margins, so my new family can just keep an eye out for any other cysts that come along, however, Doctor says the Grade 1 Mast Cells don’t recur that often, so I suspect I will be just fine!
I would love to meet you and maybe go home with you to be part of your family! What do you think, wouldn’t you love to have a nap time buddy? Fill out the APARN adoption application, send it in, and tell them you want to come meet me - super sweet Pickles!
