Hi there! My name is Popeye and I just turned 7 yrs old. You’d never guess it though because I’m so handsome and youthful in personality.

As you can see, I’m overweight. Like most pugs, I love my food a little too much, so my foster family is working with on trimming me down a bit. I really enjoy swimming and playing in the water, so that’s my exercise regimen while the weather is hot, as I can’t really run around on pavement. I’m also a strict diet and no more human food for me. It’s hard, but I want to live a long time, so there’s a big payoff. Foster mom puts water in my food and tricks me into thinking I’m eating something really special.

I get along great with other dogs and like to just hang out with them. I’m also fully potty trained and will even tell you when I want to go outside so there are no messes. I’m working on learning the dog door right now, even though it’s kind of puzzling. One thing at time in foster care, right?

I also like people and kids, as I’m quite the charmer. I’m super soft and fluffy, so people want to pet me all the time. I’m an overall lovely little guy and would make a wonderful addition to the right home.
