My name is Poppy and I’m 2 years old I’m just a little girl only 13 pounds… I have really bad allergies that started up about 6 months ago. My family turned me over to rescue because they could not afford blood work or medicines for me anymore, and they wanted to make sure I would be taken care of properly.

I’m a good girl; I am house broken and get along pretty well with other dogs, but sometimes I like to show them I’m the boss around here. My foster mom uses the water bottle on me when I get a little bossy, and then I know to stop.

I love all humans, little or big and would love a family that could give me the attention that I’d love to have. After being an only dog its hard to share the spot light, but I’m learning.

I take baths every day with medicated shampoos to help with the itching and they seem to be working. We have figured out that I’m allergic to grass for sure. I go back to the vet at the end of March to see if I can start my new allergy medicine to see if it will work.

4/27/09 update - We started Poppy on Atopica the the first of the month for her allergies and it is working. She is taking once a day, and starting next month we are trying on the vets recommendation, she have every other day to see how that goes.
