Read my story...

My name is Puggers, and I am very pleased to make your acquaintance!

I am a 12 year old pug, who found myself in rescue at the age of 10 years, but was adopted by a super nice guy. I thought I would retire with him as a forever home, but, his job changed and he had to travel a lot, and he didn’t think it was fair to me to make me stay in kennels while he was gone. I still love him and am thankful that he did the right thing by calling APARN to take me back.

APARN sent me to a Foster Home with 2 resident pugs, one of which is a 20 month old male. Yea he is a little squirt and quite entertaining, but nothing too much for me to handle.

You see, Foster Mom picked me up at an event where I was all shy and quiet. She thought she would have to keep me separate as the younger fosters might bother me. No worries. You see, I like to play just like the young dude – but when he gets out of line – it’s time for a little old school.

Don’t get me wrong – I am not aggressive. When you come to meet me, please do not shy away because of my age. I warm up quickly and would love to play with you, your dogs, or your kids; and when the day is done, I like to climb in bed with Foster Mom and my foster brother and sister.

So, you see, I am still going strong.

Please stop and say hello to me at one of the APARN events. Make my day!
