Read my story...

Hello, my name is Rupert and I am 6 years young. Now my story is kind of sad, so I just want to prepare you for it.

I was found as a stray, no one came to claim me, but APARN said they would take me in. I was found wondering the streets on a very, very hot day.

When I was found, my toe nails were so long that they curled and turned under my paws and were actually cutting into the pads. As you can see I am very heavy, not healthy for a pug at all, and that just made my paws hurt even more.

I also have no vision, so here I am a very fat boy, with long toenails and blind left out on the side of the road. Foster mom says she just can never get over how people can be so cruel.

Foster mom and dad are helping me to take this weight off so that I can move around and breathe a lot easier.

I get along with all the other dogs, love to be near my people and have you scratch behind my ears. I have not tried to mark once in my foster home, and actually go to the door to go outside.

It doesn’t take me long to figure out the layout of the home, and get along very well. I prefer to sleep on the tile, not the bed that is there for me. Foster mom thinks it’s because I get hot so quickly and I can keep cool by sleeping on the tile.

Please come and meet me, but fill out the adoption application first. I can’t wait to meet you!
