Hi my name is Scout, just like Tonto’s horse from the Lone Ranger. I am about a year and a half old. I was found wandering around a very busy intersection in Tempe, and a nice vet took me to her office and called APARN to come and get me.
I am full of lots of energy and would do best in a house with children that are 5 and up, other wise I think I would end up knocking them down and not mean to. I do love kids! I would love to have someone play ball with me and run with me.
Now I bet you think I look a little different of the typical pug! My vet said I look like a Boston Terrier/Pug mix or something like that. I don’t have a laid-back pug personality. I’m young and mischievous and I find ways to get your attention! I love being active. My foster Mommy takes me to Doggy Daycare and I play really hard there. I’m worn out for a whole day afterwards. I would like to go hiking with someone. I have nice long legs that are made for that kind of activity! I love to go on walks. I find sticks and other treasures and play with them while we are walking along.
I would love a home with some other dogs to play with. New dogs easily intimidate me and then I bark a lot at them. But I meet new dogs all the time and am improving at that. I can jump pretty high, so you have to have a fenced back yard if you want me to go out there and explore. I can be noisy when I play, so my new family has to be okay with that. I just don’t know how else I can tell them how happy they make me.
I am housebroken and use a doggy door. I beg very nicely for treats. I can sit and stay when you ask me to. I do like to take stuffing out of toys, so my foster Mommy has a great supply of rubber chickens, tennis balls, nylabones and other chewies that I can play with instead.
I make my foster family laugh a lot with my antics. If they are too boring or quiet I try to find something to do to amuse them. I love happy people!
My foster Mommy says I’m a cuddle bug. I love to snuggle against her when I’m tired and I LOVE to snuggle at night in bed. I always share my space nicely with my foster pug brothers and sister.
Now if you fill out an application, that is the first step, and everything looks good you can come see how much better I look in person. I am one handsome and happy boy!
