Well hello there, so glad you have taken the time to read what I have written about myself that sounds a little snobby doesn’t it, but I can assure you I am far from being snobby.

Let me start by telling you that my name is Shumba, is African tribal name and it means Lion. Now I find that funny, only because I am far from being like a furious lion. I am a sweet boy according to my foster parents, but when I get excited to see you I have a high pitched squeal, maybe that’s how I got the name Shumba.

I am about 5 years old; I have short little legs, but let me tell you it doesn’t stop me from keeping up with all of my foster brothers and sister, or from jumping up on the couch if I feel like sitting next to you. Right now I have a favorite chair at my foster home I love to jump up on and watch everyone or take a nap.

I appear to be house broken; I did lift my leg the first couple of days, but haven’t tried since I let you know when I need to go out. But my foster mom still keeps those darn man pants on me, says she can never trust little boys, doesn’t she have a lot of nerve.

I love to have behind my ears scratched and while you are scratching I will squeal a little which I happen to think is cute, I also love to have belly rubs, those are my favorite I will be your BFF!

OK, well I don’t want you to leave after reading about me thinking you know me inside and out, I would love for you to come and see me and I may have a couple of surprises up my sleeve!
