I've been Adopted!
Adopted: August 2009Click on pug picture for larger image

Likes: Tummy rubs! I will be your best friend for life if you let me sit on the couch with you and rub my tummy as we watch tv together. I’m really into cuddling and just want to be with my people. I also get along great with other dogs & even cats too. I’m a super mellow little guy and am very gentle with children.
Dislikes: None
Medications: Ok, I’m not going to lie. I’m kind of a mess in this department right now. I just found out I have heartworm (I think foster mom was way more upset than I was!), so I’m on all kinds of medications at the moment. I have to go for injections and the treatment could take a couple months, so keep me in your thoughts for a swift recovery so I can move on to the adoption process like my other foster brothers and sisters. My foster mommy would like to take this opportunity to remind all of you doggy owners out there to please test your fur babies for heartworm annually. It’s a relatively inexpensive test and heartworm is a silent killer.
I also came into APARN with a nasty yeast infection in my ears, and on muzzle & feet. I was stinky and couldn’t stop chewing on my feet to relieve the itching. Now I’m on antibiotics to kill the infection and foster mommy gives me a bath every couple days to make me smell gorgeous and relieve that itching. I’m feeling SO much better already!
I’m also on some eye drops daily for dry eye. Dry eye is very common in pugs and easily treated with daily drops that typically cost about $40/month. I was kept outside when I was younger, which exposed me to all sorts of nasty environmental related issues, and probably contributed to my dry eye so young in life. No worries though, because I take my meds like a champ and don’t even mind it. It’s a great excuse to get treats daily!!
If you would like to contribute to the cost of my heartworm treatment to help APARN out, please use the PayPal links on the website. I will send you lots of puggy kisses in return!
Other: I’m potty trained and know how to use the dog door.
