Ladies, Gentleman and small children.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Stanley, a.k.a “Stan the Man”.
I am a well behaved male pug. (I turned 7 years old on 06/15/2010).
My owners couldn’t keep me, as they lost their house. My owner was so sad, as she raised me from a little pup, and knows what a great pug I am. She knew about APARN, and knew they would take great care of me. She brought me to an APARN volunteer, and I am now in a terrific APARN foster home, getting lots of love and attention while waiting for a new forever family to come along.
I eat nicely in the presence of other dogs, I use the doggie door, I do not jump on furniture and I get along with other dogs. I like to play with my foster brothers, but Foster Mom says we need to keep it outside. One of my foster brothers (Forest) is deaf, so Foster Mom’s resident pug said we should all play deaf, then we can run around and chase each other inside too and pretend like we don’t hear her. It seems to work ‘cause I saw her smiling at us running up and down the hall. Foster Mom is pretty cool, I must say!
I do have one small problem, and that is I need to take daily medicine called Phenobarbital for a seizure disorder. No worries though, as I have not had a seizure in almost one year! Hopefully, as long as I am on the medicine, I will not have one. Foster Mom said my medicine is very inexpensive and it’s no trouble to give as I take it like such a good pug. She said it’s a small price to pay for a nice guy like me.
Don’t be shy. Come to an event and meet some of the nice APARN people. And ask to meet the well behaved pug – STANLEY!
