Sugar
ADOPTED
I've been Adopted!
Adopted: November 2010Click on pug picture for larger image

I am little Sugar. Like my “sister” Ginger, I am a 5 year old female, but I am black in color with just a streak of white running down the front of my chest. Ginger and I were raised together and very much want to stay that way.
My foster Mom says I am named appropriately because I am absolutely the sweetest little girl in the world. I am very well behaved, although once in a while Ginger does influence me a little bit too much. Like that whole shower thing. Sometimes I just can’t help myself - it looks like so much fun that I have to get in there with Ginger and splash around! We get all wet and then jump into bed with our foster Mom and just wait for the squealing to begin! It’s better then any squeaky toy ever! But Mommy’s a good sport about it, and it always ends up in a love fest, with me, Ginger, and our foster brother and sisters all joining in, jumping on Mom, licking her, and giving her big, sloppy puggie kisses.
Foster Mommy says if she has to be awaken at 6 a.m., she can’t think of a better way! We haven’t told her yet, but we have a few other surprises up our paws that will give her some other options for her early morning pug wake up call! You see, the kitties have this big sand box in the next room where they go potty, and Ginger says that if we .... well, you get the idea. Sometimes Ginger can be very creative. I just love her so much!
I am in really good health, get along well with the other dogs in our foster home, and mostly just ignore the kitties. I love to snuggle up next to my foster parents and watch TV. I keep an eye on my sister Ginger, and try to keep her out of trouble. But sometimes she is just having so much fun I can’t help myself, and I end up joining in the festivities! Foster Mommy says Ginger and I are a riot to watch when we start “putting on our act” and that we could even “take it on the road.” We think foster Mommy gets a bit carried away sometimes (Ginger says she overreacts), which makes the pranks we pull on her all the more fun. So we just keep thinking up new ways of making her squeal.
Ginger says she’s asking for it, but sometimes I feel a little bad, like when we crawled under the covers in the middle of the night, and Ginger nipped on of foster Mommy’s toes to wake her up so we all could play. I remember her saying something about it being 3:30 in the morning. But it worked! I tell you, that Ginger is one smart cookie (a ginger snap?)
So why not come and meet Ginger and me at APARN’s next adoption event? With us, you get the best of both worlds - a fawn colored pug, affectionate and outgoing; and a black pug, sweet and demure. (Guess who is who?). All wrapped up in one beautiful pug package just waiting for a loving forever home! Are you that home?
