Hi, I am Sunny and my sister is Cleo! We are brother and sister, we came from the same litter, and our birthday is 11-12-01, so we are 8.5 years old.
Let me tell you a little bit about each of us. Before I start, let me tell you why we came to APARN. Our family have a human child that requires medical care, and the doctor told them it would be better for the child if there were no animals in the home.
As I said, I am Sunny and I am the older brother. I love to have belly rubs, and will roll all over the place while you are giving them to me. I had this thing called SARDS happen to me. SARDS stands for Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome, which means I lost my vision all of a sudden.
They are not sure why this happens, but it does. Don’t let that scare you, talk to some of the APARN volunteers, and they will tell you all about blind dogs, some of them say blind dogs are the coolest dogs. When we come to a new home, we navigate the area and work to memorize where things are so we don’t bump into them. I haven’t been blind that long, so I do get a little frustrated when I am around other dogs and they bump into me. Otherwise, I am very sweet and loving and love my sister so much for being my buddy and my ‘seeing eye pug,’ lol.
Cleo is a really sweet girl, who loves to hang out on a lap! She is a character, a definite people pug! She is very easy going and loves attention. She had quite a little adventure the first day she came to APARN; she told me not to bring it up, but it’s a cool story. See, just after we got to a foster home, she managed to dart out the door and was on the mean streets for three days! APARN put out a huge search party, and the volunteers kept assuring me by saying things like “No pug is left behind! We will find Cleo!” And sure enough, they did! You should have seen our tails wagging when we were reunited! I’m telling you, it could have been a scene from a Lifetime movie!
Anyway, we are looking for a nice quiet home where we can spend our golden years. APARN promised they will make sure we stay together, and we really want to be the only dogs in the home. In return, we will give you lots of love.
Please fill out an application to adopt us, I promise you won’t be sorry!
