Don’t let these sad “puppy” eyes fool you - I am one heck of a happy pug! My name is Tristan, and I am a 5 year old boy. My foster Mom says I am the perfect pug blend because I love to play, but then settle right down and become a “velcro” boy when it’s nap time.

I am a pug of many talents, the greatest of which is my capacity to love. I know, I know - everybody’s bio says that! The difference is MY foster parents tell me they have never experienced a love machine like me before! Kisses, kisses, kisses. I wiggle myself right in between my foster siblings and my parents just to make sure I get my fair share. And play? You betcha! Fetch. Peek-a-boo. Tag. Oh - and did I mention I am the Michael Phelps of the canine world? Yep. Unlike many pugs, I am the rare exception - I am a swimmer! In fact, I gave my foster Dad quite a startle the very first day I arrived when, without any warning, I ran and jumped right into the pool! Well, not knowing my aquatic skills, my heroic Dad immediately jumped in to “save” me - only to discover that I can doggy paddle. Oh oh, poor Dad - such an effort and all he got was soaking wet. But I made up for it by dispensing lots and lots of kisses!

I get along with my pug foster brothers and sister, let that 19 year old cat walk all over me (literally and figuratively), and never make any messes in the house. Since my foster parents do not have a doggy door (something about too many wild animals), they don’t know if I’m trained to use one, but I promise I am one smart pug and even if I’m not, I will learn! I would love to find a forever family that is active, because I like to play, but I also enjoy curling up in someone’s lap and, after a love fest, taking a nice long nap. Given my Olympic swimming skills, a pool, or a family who does “water” type activities, would also be nice.
