Hello, I thought I'd
drop a few lines tonight
to let you know that
Popcorn is A-ok! Yes, we
love him to death!
Everyone wants to
babysit him, everyone
wants to pet him,
everyone wants a pug! My
favorite phrase is "pugsNOTdrugs."
All is well, we take him
everywhere, I mean
everywhere....i don't
care if i get chased
outta ice cream parlors
because of their "no
dogs" policy i still
take my baby with me no
matter what!
Yes I was chased outta
that Scottie Gelato
place, I was chased
outta Wal-mart one
weekend while shopping
for Popcorn (getting
treats & t'shirts--I was
trying to find sweaters
for him since we were
heading up north to the
Navajo Reservation to
introduce him to the
rest of the family!)
Anyhow, yes, he now has
his very own
wardrobe--he only wears
his sweat shirt during
our cold early
morning/evening
walks...he lounged in
his long sleeved
t'shirts at my mom's
house....you'll see that
i even made him snow
boots outta paper towels
& plastic bags while we
were up north playing in
the snow a couple of
weeks ago (i couldn't
find snow boots at
PetsMart & the slippers
I found would NOT have
stayed on his paws while
trek'n the rough &
rugged terrain on the
rez so i made him some &
made sure they stayed on
him & protected his legs
from the cold)....he is
such a hoot! I'm not
sure if it was his first
snow but it sure seemed
like it was. We walked
through the snow & every
once in awhile Popcorn
stopped walking to look
around him, I think he
was amazed at how
dazzling & white his
surroundings were while
on the reservation..it
was pretty bright--he
thoroughly enjoyed the
wide open spaces & I
think he liked the mud a
little too much.
There are soooo many
things to say about him
that I don't know where
to begin or end (as you
can see, my writing is
totally not formatted &
unorganized) we're just
so excited we have so
many lovely happenings &
zany/amusing moments
that occur each & every
day. Popcorn is such a
blessing. We love to nap
together--the 3 of us on
the couch or on the
bed....Popcorn & me
sleep-in every
weekend....we hike the
trails, we walk thru the
park next door, we found
a dog park down the
street from where we
live....we have so much
fun... Popcorn is the
best.

ADOPTION
PROCESS
Would you like
to fill out our adoption application? Please go to our
adoption
page and fill out the application!
APARN has taken in over 150 pugs in 2007. Won't you please
consider making a monetary donation to help us give these pugs
the care they need?
We may have more dogs than are shown on this page, and dogs are coming in regularly so please submit an application and get on our list! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered. Our adoption process begins with submitting an application. We will try to respond to your application in a timely matter, but please remember that we are all volunteers, and often get backed up.
