Cutest Pug Contest 2009
Welcome to APARN's annual Cutest Pug Photo Contest
Phase Two - Round One! (Sunday, June 14th - Saturday, June 20th)
Our winner receives a free bath and groom in preparation for a photo shoot from PetShots Photography.
The Cutest Pug will be featured in an upcoming issue of Arizona Pug Corner, and on APARN's 2009 Christmas Card, and of course retains bragging rights for a full year! And something new this year, there's also a $50 Gift Card for mom or dad to take their prize winning pug on a shopping spree!
Guidelines:
- Voting begins Sunday, June 14th, and each vote costs a $1 donation, payable via PayPal.
After a one week voting period, the 22 top vote getters (11 male and 11 female) will move on to Phase Two - Round Two! - Beginning with Round Two on Sunday June 21st, we will eliminate one male and one female pug, based on the lowest numbers of votes.
- The Top 12 will be announced on July 26th.
- Phase Three will begin on August 23rd, with the final four pugs in fierce competition for the top spot! From this point on, only one pug will be eliminated each week, until only the Cutest Pug remains, and the winner will be announced at noon at our Pugs in Paradise event on September 13th, and posted online later that day.
To vote for a pug: simply click the Paypal "VOTE FOR ME!" button below the photo. Votes are $1 each via Paypal, and you may vote as much and as often as you like. The Paypal button will allow you to cast multiple votes for the same pug at once, for example a $10 donation yields 10 votes for that pug. Voting for Phase Two - Round One closes at 9:00 pm AZ time on Saturday June 20th, and only the 11 male and 11 female pugs with the highest numbers of votes will move on to Phase Two - Round Two! Be sure to vote for all your favorites, and check back here on Sunday, June 21st, as results will be posted and ready for votes by noon! Due to a 6-way tie between the female pugs, there will be 15 female pugs in Round One, and 5 females will be eliminated next week!
Please note: votes received after the cut-off time of 9:00 pm will be applied to the following week's totals, only if that pug advances to the following round. Remember, vote counts reset to zero at the beginning of each new round, so be sure to support your favorites each week!

Top 12...make that 15 Female Finalists!
Due to a 6-way tie between the female pugs, there will be 15 female pugs in Round One, and 5 females will be eliminated next week!
