Now appearing, the One, the Only…Mochi!
Hi there, I’m Mochi! See my picture? When is the last time you saw a pug - and an 8 year old one at that - hanging upside down? Never you say? Of course not. This is not just some ordinary trick. I’ve been working on this one for a long time. See, I really love to perform, but my list of tricks is just too short. I know that with the right person to love me, though, my talent will really blossom! So I’ve allowed APARN the use of my image in hopes that I’ll find that “special” person, my “forever” family, who will love me enough to take my career to the next level.
Right now I’m staying with a foster family until APARN finds me my forever one. My Foster Mom is trying to help me with my career by coming up with….well…all sorts of silly stage names. I know I should be grateful, but honestly these names just won’t help launch my career! Don’t believe me? Ok, as embarrassing as it is, I’ll share them with you. Sometimes she calls me “Love Bug,” or ” Mochi Monster” and even “Poopsie.” I mean, how would those names look on a marquee? “Now Appearing: Poopsie!” Am I right?
My Foster Mom says I am a very healthy girl…oh, and I am “petite,” too. She suggests, though, that my stage presence would be enhanced if I just lost a pound or two. And I try, but I just can’t help it, I love eat. Foster Mom is also attempting to keep me in shape by playing ball with me and taking me on short walks. She says to tell you that you need to hang on tight to the leash because (apparently) I am prone to chasing after automotive vehicles. As for my demeanor, I am very affectionate and love my foster family. I’m not sure if I like kids, and as for other animals, well…I’m not particularly fond of cats. Foster Mom says to tell you that I like to watch TV, particularly in your chair, and appreciate a good belly rub. And since I want to be a star, I practice kissing every chance I get!
If you think you have what it takes to help me develop my talents, the place to start is by meeting me. I make regular appearances at the APARN adoption events (but I receive no compensation; I have to work on that). Or if you’re sure you are my special person, my forever family, just fill out the APARN adoption application. Oh..and please write: “The One, the Only….Mochi!” across the top. That way they’ll know you are interested in ME!
