Looking to adopt a pug? Need to surrender your pug? We can help. APARN is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of the pug breed.

APARN‘s Mission is to rescue abused, abandoned, homeless, unwanted, sick or injured Pugs, rehabilitate them and place them into loving, permanent adoptive homes in Arizona. We strive to educate the public about the Pug dog breed, including its personality, special needs and care. We provide medical care and spay or neuter operations for all of the Pugs that come into our rescue.

The Cutest Pug Contest for 2013!

Last year, we crushed all records with an amazing $31,514 earned for APARN!

Wouldn't it be super cool and amazing if every $1 vote could be turned into $2 for APARN? Guess what? That is ACTUALLLY going to happen! APARN has a sponsor that will match dollar for dollar earned in the Cutest Pug Contest (up to $25k), and that is Lulu’s Fund, set up by the Timothy T. Day Foundation! Lulu Day was the winner of APARN’s first Cutest Pug Contest, so it is fitting that Lulu’s Fund has been created in her honor to help APARN with this annual fundraiser.

APARN needs foster homes!

The pugs are coming in fast and furiously this summer, and we don't want to turn down any pug in need. We currently have four pugs in boarding, waiting for a foster home. If you have adopted from APARN in the last two years, you are likely already approved to foster.

Lost Pet U.S.A. is a website where people can search for their lost pets, report found pets, and use as a resource for departments looking for their pets or what to do if they find a pet.
